about
Welcome to WACCS
- Western Algarve Coronavirus Community Support
This website has been set up in response to the Covid-19 outbreak, in the hope that as a community we can pull together and support those who are having to self-isolate owing to having underlying health conditions or if they fall into the vulnerable age groups.
It can easily become overwhelming tracking who will deal with what and where supplies are. Often, having too many people wanting to help and doing their own thing can lead to not much being done constructively at all.
By having a central database it will be possible to keep track of every aspect of support and hopefully ensure that we come through this uncertain period as unscathed as possible.
Below is a general overview of the progression of the virus so far, and further down the page are links to the individual village/town databases where you can register for support or volunteer your services.
Any queries please contact me, the administrator, via the Contact page.
